About Us
The Mashpee Public School District is located on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Our mission is to ensure a student-centered, comprehensive program of rigor, scope, and depth that prepares all students to be college, career, service, and civic ready and teaches respect and acceptance of others. Our vision is that every student, every day, is safe, respected, and engaged to achieve academic and social growth in a personalized learning environment.
The students and staff of the Mashpee Public Schools are fortunate to learn and work in a community that deeply values its schools and education. We are committed to providing all students with high-quality, innovative academic learning experiences, access to a wide range of co-curricular activities, and opportunities to engage in meaningful community service. Our students are taught by caring, highly qualified educators and are supported, noticed, and nurtured so they can reach their full potential, be healthy, and find success in all their endeavors.
A culture of kindness, respect, and excellence is present at each of our three schools:
-
Kenneth C. Coombs School (PreK–Grade 2)
-
Quashnet Intermediate School (Grades 3–6)
-
Mashpee Middle-High School (Grades 7–12)
Our enrollment is approximately 1,550 students. Our student body reflects a rich tapestry of cultures and backgrounds, including a strong representation of Native students from the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe. We also proudly welcome students and families from many other cultural heritages and countries around the world. This diversity enriches our learning community and helps all students grow in understanding, empathy, and global awareness.
We are grateful for the opportunity to serve the families of Mashpee. Every day, we say:
“It’s GREAT to be in MASHPEE.”
And it truly is—because of our students, our staff, our families, and our incredible Mashpee community.
