Volunteers
Getting Started
Want to volunteer with Mashpee Public Schools? We’d love to have you!
Volunteers play a vital role in the success of our schools and the students we serve. Volunteering is a wonderful way to experience MPS from the inside and make a meaningful difference in the lives of students, teachers, and our school community.
There are so many ways to get involved—from one-time events to ongoing classroom help. Most opportunities require no prior experience or special skills—just a willingness to help!
We use a centralized platform to manage all our volunteer opportunities.

Still unsure how you can contribute? Give me a call at 508-681-7277—I’d be happy to help you find the right fit.
The Nitty-Gritty
To ensure the safety of our students and staff, all volunteers must complete the following:
-
Complete a CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) Check
-
Download and print the [CORI Form] (link).
-
Bring it along with a valid photo ID to the Superintendent’s Office, open Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM.
-
Once cleared, you’ll be eligible to volunteer in our schools.
-
-
Respect Confidentiality
As a Mashpee volunteer, you are expected to use discretion and treat all student and staff information as confidential. If you have a concern or question, please speak directly with the classroom teacher or school principal.
Volunteering is one of the most rewarding ways to support Mashpee students. Thank you for considering giving your time and heart to our schools!

mentorship program
Our mentorship program is run in collaboration with the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod & the Islands. Contact Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod and request to be placed with a Mashpee student.
Mentoring on Cape Cod & the Islands
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod & the Islands, a proud member of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Massachusetts family, is the only one-to-one youth serving mentoring organization in the area. We’ve been around for over 45 years and serve 335 kids in the community. With research and proven outcomes at our core, we’re an organization that’s making a real difference with young people.
VOLUNTEERS DO NOT NECESSARILY HAVE THE TIME; THEY JUST HAVE THE HEART
