Family Survey

While we are all eagerly anticipating the arrival of spring and the warmer weather that comes with it, another significant event in March is the annual student and family survey, which was made available on Monday, March 10th. This survey is an important tool soliciting families' feedback regarding their experiences within the Mashpee Public Schools. Completing this survey will take approximately 15 minutes of your time, and we greatly value your participation in this process.

Educational Challenges

With the discussion of eliminating or significantly reducing the U.S. Department Of Education and funding for school lunches, we are experiencing disruption unheard of in the field of education. Please know that the administration of the Mashpee Public Schools monitors these ongoing changes and challenges and works with other state organizations to stay on top of the latest curve. We remain committed to ensuring our students get the support they need to continue their growth and development. As always, we will keep you informed, and we are committed to maintaining open lines of communication with you.

FamilySurvey

While we are all eagerly anticipating the arrival of spring and the warmer weather that comes with it, another significant event in March is the annual student and family survey, which was made available on Monday, March 10th. This survey is an important tool soliciting families' feedback regarding their experiences within the Mashpee Public Schools. Completing this survey will take approximately 15 minutes of your time, and we greatly value your participation in this process.

Alongside this, a similar survey was administered to our students, enabling us to draw a comparison between their experiences and those of their parents and guardians. By analyzing this data in the spring and summer months, we will be able to share initial findings with the public. This critical information is essential as we strive to provide an outstanding experience for our students and their families. Your feedback gathered through this survey plays a significant role in shaping the educational experience of our students. We rely heavily on the survey results to plan improvement activities, set goals for the upcoming year, and measure our progress in the various district initiatives we have undertaken over the past years. Given that our strategic plan is set to be updated next year, the insights gleaned from this survey will be instrumental in shaping our initial efforts to design a new plan to enhance our district’s overall performance.

It is important to note that the effectiveness of this initiative is closely tied to the responses we collect from you and our families. Your feedback is not just important; it is invaluable. We encourage strong participation from a majority of our families to complete the survey and provide the district with a comprehensive view of your experiences while accessing the school system. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us understand where we excel and where we may need to improve. Please check your School Status Connect account for the survey link. We sincerely appreciate your assistance in collecting this important information, as it plays a crucial role in guiding our efforts to enhance the educational experience for all students and their families within our district. Thank you for your continued support and engagement in this process.

With Dr. Hope Hanscom's resignation as she assumes the role of Executive Director of the Cape Cod Collaborative, I am pleased to share that Dr. Pam Gould will assume the role of Interim Assistant Superintendent of Schools, beginning January 21, 2025. Dr. Gould is the retired Superintendent of Sandwich Public Schools and previously served as an Assistant Superintendent, High School Principal, Teacher, and Coach. She brings experience and perspective to help the district through this transition, until a permanent assistant superintendent is chosen.
