Recess Reminder

To ensure the continued well-being, comfort, and safety of all students during the winter months, we wish to formally share our outdoor recess policy:

  • Temperature Permitting: Recess will be held outdoors provided that the weather conditions, particularly the temperature, are deemed suitable and safe.

  • Snow and Winter Play: If there is snow on the ground, students must be equipped with appropriate waterproof winter boots and snow pants to be granted access to the snow-covered play areas.

  • Hardtop Only: Students who do not have both winter boots and snow pants will be restricted to the designated hardtop/paved areas only. This protocol is in place to prevent clothing from becoming wet, ensuring students remain warm and comfortable for the remainder of the school day.

  • We encourage all students to have a change of clothes just in case!
