The Falcon Marathon
As a right of passage through KCCS started by Kristen Daly (retired PE teacher) and continued by Ms. Caldwell and the specials teacher team, all second graders run a full marathon over the course of the school year. Thank you to the PTO for funding trackers and software so students know how many miles they accumulate over the school year. On Friday, we held our "Final Marathon" and invited families to join in the fun. Every student received a medal for their commitment to hard work and physical fitness.

We have also made a partner over the years with the Cape Cod Challenger Club (click here to learn more about CCCC). Mr. Andrew leads this incredible organization and for the past three years has donated race bibs to second graders to run the 1 mile race at their annual Run Into Summer 5K. We do have some bibs available and if your second grader would like a bib, please contact the front office. Run Into Summer is on Saturday June 28th and is located 418 Bumps River Road, Osterville, MA. Click here to sign up to run the 5K and to learn more about this fun Saturday event! |

KCCS PTOSummer is almost here! We can’t believe it! Woo Hoo! And with the start of summer brings our final family event of the year- Family Day at Cape Cod Inflatable and Wicked Waves Water Parks! Admission for this event is discounted to our KCCS families at $20 per person. Please RSVP with payment and number of people in your party by Wednesday June 11th to kccptopresident@gmail.com. This event will take place on Saturday June 14th from 10am-5pm with a rain date of Sunday June 15th. A quick recap of our Falcon Dance-Off Fundraiser- we raised over $29,000!! Falcons, that is AMAZING! Way to come together as a school and as a community. Our funds will continue to go toward field trips, staff appreciation, family events, and classroom supplies. We’ve approved the budget for the new Peace Path for our playground area, and that will be completed over the summer. We will not stop pushing for a decision to be made about new playground equipment. In the meantime, please know that the children of KCCS are seeing our funds being put to good use all year long. Families and students are benefitting from the funds we raise throughout the year, and we are grateful we can financially support so many things for our school community. Since we’ve raised our goal of $20,000 and then some, Superhero day will take place on Wednesday June 4th! We can’t wait to see all of our students and staff show up to school looking like the Falcontastic superheroes they are! Mark your Calendars: Superhero Day: Wednesday June 4th Summer Kick-Off Family Day: Saturday June 14th 10am-5pm at Cape Cod Inflatable and Wicked Waves Water Park (Rain Date: Sunday June 15th) |
