MMHS Teen TASK Visits Children’s CoveOn Monday, January 13th, the MMHS Teen TASK (Taking a Stand For Kids) team, led by Mrs. Carpenter and Jacob Stapleton from Children’s Cove, had the opportunity to visit Children’s Cove with Officer Hennessey. During their visit, the students toured the facility, met with the dedicated Children’s Cove team, and learned about the important work being done at the Children’s Advocacy Center. As members of the Teen TASK Force, these students are developing valuable skills in supporting others, being allies, and encouraging their peers to seek help when needed. The experience also provided them with a deeper understanding of how to view situations from different perspectives and how to use their knowledge to make a positive impact on the community. Great job, Teen TASK Force! Keep up the excellent work!

Members of the MMHS GSA (Gender/Sexuality Alliance) coordinated a Kindness Wall during lunches on Wednesday, January 15th. The theme was ‘Kindness Has No Category’ and students were asked to write positive messages on sticky notes (recognizing an individual or spreading a positive message to other students). Special thanks to GSA President Max Nash and Vice-President Naiomi Javier for running the tables during all three lunches! |
