Even though the official celebration day is Wednesday, April 23rd, we wanted to give them all a shout-out before April vacation to show our appreciation for everything they do. They are truly the glue that holds our school together, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. We are so grateful for all the ways they support our school community!

MMHSOutdoorFoodPantry

We’re excited to share that a new Outdoor Food Pantry has been installed outside Mashpee Middle-High School as part of our Mashpee Cares Closet & Pantry initiative. This pantry is available 24/7 for students, families, and community members who may need extra support. It’s stocked with shelf-stable items, and anyone is welcome to take what they need or leave what they can.
We’re really hopeful this becomes a valuable resource for our Mashpee community. Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible, and a special thank you to Mashpee DPW for handling the installation. If you'd like to contribute, we’re currently looking for non-perishable items. Our mobile family pickup service will continue to operate as normal.

A Message from Caoimhe Assad, our very own MMHS Project 351 Ambassador:

After sorting through all of the clothing drive donations, 11 bags were donated to Cradles To Crayons, and 9 bags were donated to The Salvation Army. Cradles To Crayons collected all bags from the high school on Saturday. I just wanted to say thank you for everyone's support!

Thank you to the MPS School Committee for recognizing our 2025 John and Abigail Scholarship awardees at last night's school committee meeting! This year, 31 of our amazing seniors received this merit-based scholarship due to their high performance on MCAS testing and for being in the top 25% of their class here at MMHS. The following students received this scholarship: Brandon Alves, Rachel Blackburn, Kathryn Burchfield, Grace Dion, Emily Doolan, Rachel Fish, Camden Frazier, Melania Frye, Alexander Gahl, Mariele Henley, Aimen Iqbal, Cameron Katz, Luke Klopfer, Lindsey Lu, Charles Lyons, Madison Mauro, Brian Neves, Brody Newbrey, Cordelia Oakley-Robbins, Noah Pineiro, Vincent Pinnetti, Addyson Rebello, Hannah Rogers, Nicholas Sculos, Ayesha Shafi, Paige Shvonski, Maxx Smith, Paul Squarcia, Ella Varetimos, Logan Wills, and Addison Wood. Pictured below are Camden Frazier, Brody Newbrey, Dr. Thomson, members of the school committee, and Ms. Brady celebrating this honor.

15 members from the MMHS Active Minds Chapter attended the 3rd Annual KyleCares Conference at Gillette Stadium in partnership with the Patriots Foundation. They were among over 600 other Active Minds students across New England. They heard from MA Attorney General Andrea Campbell on the mental health initiatives on the state level, received encouraging words from Coach Vrabel and heard a personal testament from Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez. In addition, they attended breakout sessions to learn about resilience, coping skills for anxiety, mindfulness activities, how to bring back mental health initiatives to their school, and spread hope.

The National Technical Honor Society held their annual Energy Carnival at Quashnet School on Tuesday, April 15th with the help of Cape Light Compact Volunteers. This activity puts the learning in the hands of high school students who teach activities about Energy to students in grades 3-6. This activity is a special opportunity for both Quashnet and Mashpee Middle High School students because MMHS students once participated as the learner in this activity in their younger years and now as MMHS students they get the opportunity to give big and be in the driver seat as a teacher for a day!

Students from our MMHS Human Rights Academy attended the Barnstable County Human Rights Academy conference. Our students presented on ways we promote "health and well-being for our students" in our school. The MMHS Human Rights club always shines bright out of all the Cape Cod schools, and we received high praise for our presentation and accomplishments, especially for the "Mashpee Has Your Back" Backpack Drive and for the Who We Are legacy project. In addition, the Susan L. Quinones Humanitarian Award was presented to MMHS senior class president Ayesha Shafi. They also recognized Ms. Purdy and Mrs. Troyanos for their many years of work with our outstanding and impactful club.

Today, our amazing Red Cross Youth Club sponsored another MMHS Blood Drive.

Also today, some MMHS students participated in the Army National Guard Confidence Course. This activity promotes team building and problem solving. It was a great day!

MMHS Grade 7 & 8 chorus participated in the All Cape Junior Chorus festival on Wednesday April 16th. Our students, along with other schools from around the Cape Cod area, rehearsed and performed a concert at Barnstable High School. The students were outstanding and the community complimented them on their performance!
