Stacey is a registered nurse with over 25 years of experience as a school nurse. She is currently the elementary school nurse at KC Coombs Elementary, as well as the District Nurse coordinator for many years. She earned a master's in education in school nursing from Cambridge College, a master's in nursing from Graceland University, and a certificate of advanced graduate studies in educational leadership from Bridgewater State University. Her areas of expertise and passions include pediatric care, health prevention and education, mentoring, and leadership. Given these interests, she has served as a school nurse mentor for many new and aspiring nurses and school nurses. She and a former colleague developed a Mentor Handbook which she will share with you to use and update to reflect your school and district needs. She also has a school therapy dog, Charley.
Stacey is a board member of the Massachusetts School Nurses Organization and the Regional 5 Co-chair. She brings a deep commitment to public health and student well-being. Certified as an NCSN, she specializes in health coordination and crisis management, fostering safe and supportive school environments. Her work reflects a dedication to ensuring the health and safety of the community, aligning with Mashpee's mission to prioritize care and resilience. By leveraging her extensive experience and collaborative approach, she empowers teams to navigate complex health challenges effectively.
