On Monday, March 31 at 5:30 is our annual “Night to Shine" Talent Show. This year the theme is “What's the Word?.” All students in Grades 3 to 6 are encouraged to share a talent that celebrates words. They can sing a song, read a poem, do a short skit or puppet show, tell a joke, perform a magic trick...or anything else pertaining toward language arts. Please encourage your child to participate. TransitionEventsforGrade6StudentstoPrepareforMMHS

A few sixth grade families have reached out to me about transition events for 6th-grade students this spring in preparation for their move to MMHS next school year. This is such an exciting time, and there are many things we do as a district to prepare students for this transition. I wanted to let you know the plans now for whole grade level events in school, and I'll include reminders as dates get closer in my weekly newsletters.

1. On March 6, 2025, after lunch the 7th grade counselors for the high school will visit each grade 6 classroom and share with students what choices they have for classes and the overall curriculum and schedule for 7th grade.

2. On April 30, 2025, the MMHS Principal and Grade 7-9 Assistant Principal will be coming to Quashnet for 6th grade lunch and recess to meet the students.

3. On June 11, 2025, the entire 6th grade will take a field trip to MMHS for a half day of school in the middle of the day. While at MMHS students will have lunch and participate in activities.

CalltoAction-SupportthePTO'sPuttforaPurposeEvent!

Help Make "Putt for a Purpose" a Reality!

Our PTO is creating an exciting school-wide mini golf event at Quashnet on March 22, 2025. This creative fundraiser will support essential student activities like field trips, but we need community support to make it happen. I challenge the Quashnet community to support the event through sharing information with possible sponsors, or becoming a sponsor yourself!

Become a Sponsor:

  • Local businesses welcome
  • Family sponsorships available
  • All contributions directly support Quashnet Student through the Quashnet PTO

Interested in sponsoring or know someone who might be? Please share our sponsorship information or contact the PTO at qsptopresident@gmail.com. You can also email me at eswitzer@mpspk12.org

Together, we can build a new community tradition that makes a real difference while raising money for the students of Mashpee! Please take time to view the flyers below.
