BoysandGirlsClubClosingJune4

We have been informed that the last day of Boys and Girls Club for the school year is June 4th, so please plan accordingly for your child's arrival and dismissal to and from school. B&G Club being closed is NOT a reason for a student to be absent from school.

EarlyReleaseDayinJune

Be aware that the early release day in June is the second Monday of the month, June 9, 2025.

SmallChangetoAwards

We feel the new awards format has been going well. We have made updates to how we identify students qualifying for the "Academic Excellence" award so it is completely objective. Please see the updated awards plan for the criteria.

TikTokTrend-Chromebooks

Many of you probably know that there is a current TikTok trend encouraging and showing students how to use metal objects to damage Chromebooks by causing the battery to catch fire. Please know that damage to school property at Quashnet will be addressed with the full force of the School's Conduct Code, and any attempt to cause a fire, successful or not, could face police investigation.

NewPTOPresidentNeeded

Quashnet School PTO Leadership Opportunity

As we approach the end of another successful school year, our PTO finds itself at an important crossroads. Our current PTO President, Victoria Haire, and her family have received military orders and will be relocating to Texas this summer. We are incredibly grateful for Victoria's leadership and dedication to our school community!

This Year's Accomplishments:

  • Launched our new "Putt for a Purpose" fundraiser
  • Hosted successful family movie nights
  • Supported numerous student activities and field trips
  • Strengthened our school community

To continue this incredible momentum, we need new leadership!

The PTO plays a vital role in:

  • Supporting our students and teachers
  • Hosting community-building events
  • Funding enrichment activities and field trips
  • Creating lasting memories for our Quashnet students

Important Dates:

  • Election of New President: June (date TBD)

Victoria has graciously offered to help transition and support the new president remotely over the summer, ensuring a smooth handoff of responsibilities.

Whether you have a little time to give or a lot, your involvement matters. Consider stepping up to take a lead role in supporting our Quashnet School community!

Interested? Reach out with any questions—we'd love to share how you can make a difference.

Let's keep the momentum going—TOGETHER.

CareerDay

Last year we had more professionals come and present to students on Career Day than ever before, and this year we're hoping to increase this even more. Professionals can now come in person and also Zoom with classes, which allows professionals in locations around the world to reach out students.

If you are a professional or know a professional who would be willing to attend and present on career day to our students, please scan the QR below to sign up or click this link.
