Chair: Don Myers
Don was born in a small town in rural Kansas and has spent the last twenty years living in Mashpee. He currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer for Community Systems Support and Management Services, Inc., a company that specializes in supporting adults with disabilities in the northeast. Don is a CPA and CMA with over thirty years of professional experience in a number of senior accounting and finance positions with global financial services companies.
Don has been very active in giving back to Mashpee through his time, professional knowledge, and leadership. In high school, Don was selected to attend the American Legion Boy's State program to learn about city, county, and state government operations; and that experience and being elected as a "mayor" was a precursor for the future.
Don has currently served two terms (six years) on the Mashpee School Committee and previously served two terms (six years) on the Mashpee Board of Selectmen. He was appointed one year to the Mashpee Planning Board. He represented the School Committee as part of the Charter Review Committee, and led the Mashpee Blue Ribbon Committee for the Board of Selectmen; and, subsequently helped establish and lead the Environmental Oversight Committee for several years. Among non-profit and civic affiliations, Don served for a number of years on the Cape Cod Children's Museum Board of Directors; and in his spare time, has helped design and build theater sets for a local kids drama group.
Don earned a Master in Business Administration degree from Avila University, a Master in Accounting degree from Central Missouri State University, and a Bachelor in Accounting degree from Baker University. He and his wife Wanda have two children who attend the Mashpee Public Schools.
